Our NY Inn Provides Country Accommodations in the Hudson Valley
Located in the newer west wing of the Inn at Green River, the pale hues in the Merrill room, a large, ground-floor space, provide a peaceful setting for your getaway.
Through the French doors, you step down into your own small, sunken patio, which faces a hillside garden and a potting shed designed by Deborah, using old windows removed from the Inn during renovation. The king sized bed faces the gas fireplace in one corner of the room, and the 31″ flat screen tv, offering premium cable channels, sitting above a Shaker style armoire. Two comfortable upholstered chairs flank the fireplace.
Inconspicuous white grab bars around the whirlpool tub and behind the toilet are all that signal that this room is handicap accessible. The room is suitable for a person who can transfer into the low tub. The inn provides a regulation bath bench and the shower has a hand held shower head option. The king sized bed is low, and convenient for a person on crutches or in a wheel chair to get into. The bathroom sink, a marble antique found at a salvage shop in Hudson, meets the ADA codes. The bathroom door is wide enough for a wheel chair to pass through, as is the hall way and front door. While our parking area is gravel, not paved, a car can be parked right next to the flag stone ramp leading up to the porch door entrance nearest the Merrill room. And a person in a wheel chair can navigate through the library into the dining room and sun room where breakfast is served. Please call the innkeeper to discuss whether this room would meet your needs.
