It is like old home week at the Inn at Green River every summer during the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival which takes place on the beautiful Dodd’s Farm just over the hill in North Hillsdale.
This is a picture of the farm, taken last summer just a week before the festival started. At the left through the trees, you can see the white festival tents which had started to go up. Once the festival is in full swing, the higher fields are filled with campers’ tents.
The Inn at Green River is a popular lodging choice, partly due to our location, literally 2 miles from the Festival site just over the ridge. And for those who prefer their creature comforts, like a warm shower or a soak in a whirlpool tub after a long day at the concert, the Inn at Green River provides an inviting alternative to sleeping on the hard ground in the former dairy farm pastures. And don’t forget our delicious breakfasts!
Here is a photo of the main stage that I took at last summer’s festival. Shepherd’s Hill provides a wonderful green backdrop.
This year, the festival has moved to the first weekend in August, specifically, August 1-2-3, 2013. As of today, the Inn still has one room available, so call us at 518-325-7248, or email us through our website if you would like to reserve a room, and join our other happy music loving guests this summer!
