A Note from the Innkeeper

The Inn’s gardens are at their best in June. The Garden Conservancy’s Open Days events allow you to visit spectacular private gardens you otherwise wouldn’t see. Come the weekend of July 21, August 17, or September 14 for fabulous Garden Conservancy Open Day tours here in Columbia County. And of course you can enjoy the beautiful Inn at Green River gardens whenever you visit!

June is also when Tanglewood opens. There are lots of fun events even though the Boston Symphony doesn’t show up until July. British folk rock guitarist, Richard Thompson, gives a solo concert on Friday, June 21. The Boston Pops and Marc Martel celebrate “Queen” on Thursday, June 27. Showing my age, I want to see Earth, Wind and Fire on Friday, June 28. And the last weekend in June, Tanglewood presents a String Quartet Marathon and a Brass and Percussion Extravaganza at Ozawa Hall, and you can walk across the lawn and see the spectacular new Linde Center for Music and Learning. Check out my Facebook page for photos and videos of this wonderful new building which has just officially opened. Please like and follow the Inn on Facebook to see what fun and interesting things are happening here in Columbia County and the Berkshires that might lure you back for another visit!
