offering award winning hospitality for 28 years.

Spring really has arrived. Lots of fun gardening and flower related events coming up. From now through May 13, on the weekends or by private tour appointment midweek, don’t miss the Wildflower Festival at Bartholomew’s Cobble in Sheffield, MA to enjoy the wide variety of spring wildflowers in bloom.

Also, check out the May 5th Celebration of Food, Flowers and Gardens, a collaboration between local foodie and gardening mavens. Margaret Roach, well known garden writer, is opening her gardens in Copake Falls (just 10 south of the Hillsdale hamlet) for self guided tours  from 10-4. She is also hosting a plant sale by Broken Arrow Nursery, and making available discount coupons for garden tools for sale at the Hillsdale General Store. HGS Home Chef Shop is offering 2 cooking classes focused on herbs. Also the new Tiny Hearts Farm flower studio and showroom is having their grand opening.  (I am excited about their flower CSA.) And finally, you can order box lunches for the day, prepared by CrossRoads Food Shop and Casana T House. So book a room now for that first weekend in May, and welcome Spring into your life.

We’re starting to think of this place as our country house — thanks for the hospitality and delish breakfast!
