Susan Spano, in her New York Times Frugal Traveler column, described the breakfasts as "feasts."

The innkeeper's specialties include Lemon-Ricotta Hotcakes, Omelettes with Honey Ham, Basil and Tomato and Malt-Flour Pancakes with Pears — while freshly-baked scones, biscuits, local jams and fresh fruit are constants.

Deborah loves to show off the beautiful pale blue and sage green Auracana eggs she gets from a neighboring farmer — they make the omelettes particularly special.

Martha Stewart Living magazine loved the Inn's kitchen and grounds so much that they continue to use them for location photo shoots.

A full breakfast is elegantly served in both the candle-lighted dining room ...

... and the new sun room which overlooks the lower gardens.

Guests are welcome in two common rooms. Here is the cozy library — a great place to relax and plan your activities, or browse through Deborah's book collection. The library and dining room, as well as all the guest rooms, are equipped with WiFi.

Guests particularly enjoy sitting by the fireside in the living room in fall and winter - the perfect spot for après ski mulled cider or a cup of tea.

Here is the serene view from the hammock across the vast expanse of lawn, garden and old apple orchard to the meadow beyond.

Large lower lawn shaded by towering sugar maples which turn red and orange in the fall.

Relax on the screened porch at the rear of the inn, near the fish pool with its softly bubbling fountain.

The resident frog spends hours waiting for a meal, and enjoying its perch on the rock wall surrounding the fish pool behind the inn. It is just the right height for guests to sit and enjoy watching the fish as well.

The pretty parterre garden on the lower lawn and the Adirondack chairs where guests can sit and enjoy the view across the meadow and up at the ridges flanking the river valley.
